This year, our 8th grade educational retreat will take place at Ramapo for Children in Rhinebeck, NY, about 90 miles north of New York City. Ramapo is a modern facility in the midst of the lower Hudson Valley. It has heated cabins, full accommodations and a full-service dining room. If last year’s trip was any indication, this year’s trip will be an outstanding experience for all participants.
The trip is organized and supervised around the clock by Computer School staff. Ramapo also has one of the most highly trained team of counselors and naturalists to be found anywhere. Activities will include hiking, boating, orienteering and team-building challenges on a high-ropes course.
We will leave for Ramapo at 8:30 am on Wednesday September 26th and return at approximately 2 pm on Friday, September 28th. We will be traveling via lavatory-equipped tour buses.
The cost of the trip is $200 per student.
It is the policy of The Computer School that no eligible student be excluded from trips due to financial reasons. As always, a limited amount of scholarship funding is available for families needing financial assistance to offset the cost of this trip. Please contact Ms. Sara Sloves ([email protected]) for financial assistance.
We look forward to another rewarding retreat experience with our eighth graders. If you have any questions regarding the trip, please contact Ms. Shalom ([email protected]).
Please bring the signed DOE field trip form, as well as payment on the first day of school.
