2019 Manhattan Borough High School Fairs
Please attend at least one of the Manhattan Borough High School Fairs!

They take place on:

-September 21 and 22, located at George Washington Education Complex, 549 Audubon Avenue, NYC

-October 5 and 6, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM located at Bayard Rustin Educational Complex, 351 West 18th Street, NY .

All the fairs will have workshops on high school admissions where they will address all the new changes and help you get started with MySchools. There are A LOT of changes in the High School Process, which I mentioned in last night’s meeting, but for those who did not attend, attending one of the HS Fairs would be an excellent time to get yourself caught up and educated on the changes.

Please watch this video: How Students Get Offers to New York City Public Schools

Please visit the DOE’s High School Webpage for many resources and information: http://schools.nyc.gov/ChoicesEnrollment/High/default.htm

**NOTE: You will NOT BE ABLE TO LIST SCHOOLS on MySchools until OCTOBER. ** MySchools does not note this, but it is the case.

7th grade family:

Maurice Frumkin from NYC Admissions Solutions (former DOE high school admissions official) has provided a free high school admissions checklist for 7th grade families you can use to put yourself in great position for next year. Simply download the checklist here or it is attached.
We hope this helps you as you start to think about high school admissions for your child!
We also recommend Katie Miller from Bee Tutored, whom you met at the meeting the other night at CS. Here are some helpful resources from her here!

Students who tour high school during the school day must return to school with a note from the high school visited. This note must be given to his/her homeroom teacher for attendance purposes. Attendance can only be changed to reflect a tour (non-absence) if the student provides us with documentation.  Any questions, please contact the Main Office at 917-441-1236.
